It's more than straight teeth!

The value of an attractive smile should not be underestimated! A beautiful smile is a gateway to greater confidence, a better self-image, personal and professional advancement – a new and better you! Dr. Parker uses Damon System® Braces, a truly amazing new way to straighten teeth that's fast, comfortable and can improve your smile at any age, most often without tooth extractions, headgear or jaw surgery.

Why is orthodontic treatment important?

Crooked and crowded teeth are hard to clean and maintain. This contributes to tooth decay, gum disease and tooth loss. Some orthodontic problems contribute to abnormal wear of tooth surfaces, inefficient chewing function, excessive stress of gum tissue and the bone that supports the teeth, or misaligned jaw joints.

When left untreated, many orthodontic problems become worse. Treatment by a specialist to correct the original orthodontic problem is often less costly than the additional care required to treat more serious problems that can develop in later years.

Why Dr. Parker?

In addition to being a pediatric dentist, Dr. Parker is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists. An orthodontist is a specialist who has completed at least three years of post-doctoral training in the recognition and treatment of dental and skeletal malocclusions (bad bites). Dr. Parker is one of the only dentists in the country who has this unique “dual” specialty. This allows him to monitor your child’s growth from an early age and intercept potential orthodontic problems, as well as treat adolescents and adults who wish to improve their smiles.

When should I start orthodontic treatment?

There is no “right” time to receive orthodontic treatment. Some children require early treatment to intercept dental problems or modify facial growth. Other patients are better treated when all the permanent teeth have erupted, and today, one in five orthodontic patients is an adult. Our patients are finding that they can choose to improve their smile at any age.
